Bio-Works signs exclusive distribution agreement with MicroAnalytix in Australia and New Zealand

Bio-Works Technologies AB has signed an exclusive Distribution Agreement with Microanalytix Pty Ltd for the import, storage, distribution, marketing and sales of WorkBeads resins and pre-packed BabyBio and OptioBio columns in Australia and New Zealand.

Bio-Works is strengthening its presence in Australasia by engaging a well-respected laboratory supply company, MicroAnalytix, established in 1988.

Bio-Works next-generation agarose resins, WorkBeads™, are well-suited not only for the purification of biological compounds at laboratory scale but also for biopharmaceuticals at large scale, including peptides and recombinant proteins. Bio-Works has a particularly strong portfolio of immobilized affinity chromatography (IMAC) and ion exchange resins.

“The addition of MicroAnalytix to our distributor team extends Bio-Works reach to the Australian continent, an important market for the life sciences industry. We are very happy to become a principal to MicroAnalytix, who already has a broad portfolio of life sciences tools which complement our WorkBeads resins well, ” says Jonathan Royce, Bio-Works’ CEO.

MicroAnalytix serves the Australian market from purpose-built offices in Melbourne and Queensland and from their head office and warehouse located in Sydney. Auckland, in New Zealand’s North Island, is their NZ head office and warehouse with a second office in Christchurch. From their fully equipped warehouse in Sydney, MicroAnalytix offers next day air freight delivery to all major cities throughout Australia. Microanalytix continues to grow through ISO accreditation and with the continual aim to improve and advance in products, service & supply.

“The Bio-Works product portfolio fits into our company policy of providing high quality products supported by product technical advice. We are excited about this opportunity to represent Bio-Works and offer their high quality products to our customers across Australia and New Zealand,” says Stephen Croft, CEO of MicroAnalytix.
